Our Approach

 

NJSLA Support partners with districts to ensure that daily instruction reflects the cognitive demands of the NJSLA. Our work focuses on assessment-aligned instruction, helping educators design tasks, assessments, and learning experiences that prepare students through authentic practice—not artificial test rehearsal.

All services are customized to district curriculum, instructional priorities, and grade-level expectations.

Assessment Design Services

Grade-Level Assessment Design Package

 

$2,500 per subject per grade

This package supports districts in aligning classroom assessments to current NJSLA (Cambium) expectations.

Includes:

• Four custom, standards-aligned assessments

• Alignment to district curriculum and instructional materials

• Assessment formats that reflect NJSLA cognitive demand

• Teacher-facing guidance for implementation and scoring

Subjects available:

• Reading / ELA

• Writing

• Mathematics

These assessments are designed to mirror how students are expected to think, reason, and respond on the NJSLA—using district-selected texts and instructional goals.

Professional Learning for Educators

Instructional Alignment Workshops

 

Workshops focus on helping educators understand what the NJSLA measures and how to design instruction that prepares students through daily practice.

Pricing:

• Virtual (recorded or asynchronous): $750 per session

• Live virtual: $1,000 per session

• In-person (full day): $2,500 per day

 

Common focus areas include:

• Reading-to-writing instruction aligned to Cambium

• Evidence-based responses and constructed-response quality

• Mathematical reasoning, representations, and justification

• Designing assessments that promote transfer

 

Workshops may be booked as stand-alone services or paired with assessment design.

Parent & Family Engagement

Parent Information Sessions

These sessions help families understand the NJSLA and how to support learning at home in meaningful ways.

Pricing:

• Virtual session: $500

• In-person session: $1,000

 

Topics include:

• Understanding the structure and expectations of the NJSLA

• What test scores do—and do not—measure

• Supporting reading, writing, and math without increasing anxiety

• Building confidence through consistent, aligned practice

Parent sessions may be added to educator workshops at a reduced rate.

Data Analysis & Instructional Next Steps

Assessment Data Review & Instructional Planning

 

$3,500 per grade level

This service supports districts in turning assessment data into clear instructional action.

Includes:

• Analysis of up to 100 student assessments

• Identification of instructional trends and gaps

• Written report with grade-level instructional recommendations

• Leadership-ready summary of findings

 

Optional add-ons:

• Additional students: +$500 per 50 students

• Facilitated staff data meeting (virtual): +$750

Grade-Level Launch Package

 

$4,500 per subject per grade

 

Includes:

• Grade-Level Assessment Design Package

• One educator workshop
